ELADAIS

Driving digital innovation in healthcare

ELADAIS PROJECT PROGRESS MEETING

On June 9, 2025, partners from Ticsmart, Hospital Infanta Leonor, Hospital La Paz, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), and BluSpecs gathered at UPM’s Biomedical Center in Madrid for a key coordination meeting of the ELADAIS project, funded under the UNICO I+D Cloud programme.

Transforming Chronic Care Through Smart Platforms

The meeting focused on the progress of two digital health solutions co-developed with partner hospitals. At Hospital La Paz, the project is advancing a next-generation platform to manage clinical records for HIV patients. The outdated MS Access tool is being replaced with a modern, AI-powered system that extracts structured data from free-text entries. With development nearing completion, the hospital is preparing to load patient data and begin testing—an important step toward real-world deployment. The platform also supports patient categorisation and aligns with the OMOP standard to enable future interoperability and advanced analytics.

At Hospital Infanta Leonor, a web-based platform is being developed to support chronic patients by offering access to medical records, appointment scheduling, and personalised alerts for lab tests, medication pickups, and more—while ensuring privacy and seamless integration with hospital systems.

Collaboration at the Core

The meeting enabled alignment between technical and clinical teams, with discussions on patient onboarding, categorisation, programme visualisation, and alert mechanisms. As both hospitals prepare for production deployment, the ELADAIS project continues to demonstrate how cross-sector collaboration can drive meaningful improvements in patient care through digital innovation.
